About Me
I attended massage school here in Asheville, NC. My school was called the North Carolina School of Natural Healing, (which has since gone out of business but was a wonderful school while it was here).
This was a 10 month program and I received 650 hours of training, which exceeds the 500 hour requirement for this state.
After I graduated, I went to music festivals all around the country with my massage table. This is where I got my first actual experience outside of school...and it was tons of fun!
I
later moved to Costa Rica and worked at a wellness center called the
"Ama Tierra," a beautiful yoga retreat in the rain forest.
Since returning from Costa Rica I have been pursuing my own practice, which is better than anything I could ask for.
I truly love it; working out of my home is a dream come true!
In the beginning...
When I was 19, I traveled nationwide and sold a natural pain cream at trade fairs.
Part of the job requirement was to apply it to people where they were experiencing the pain.
I always found myself massaging it in, therapeutically rubbing the lotion into them and the pain right out!
It was very clear to me that I wanted to pursue a career as a healer, and I started school right away.
I love the idea of natural healing, and have a pure respect for the body's intelligence and its innate ability to heal itself.
